FAQ

Classes are divided by discipline (on camera, acting, musical theatre, comedy, etc), age/grade, and by session (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) typically meeting once per week. Weekly class sessions range from 4 weeks to 10 weeks.

Youth Intensive Courses range from 2 weeks to 15 weeks. Youth Summer Intensives meet daily Monday – Friday for 2-4 weeks. Our ensemble-based Production Intensives (plays and musicals) meet  weekly or bi-weekly for up to 15 weeks and culminate in one or multiple performances.

Most classes are taught by 1 instructor. Workshops, Advanced Classes, and Intensives may include guest instructors or a rotation of instructors throughout the course.

For more details on what to expect from a class, please contact the ATC office: 847.251.8710 | programs@actorstrainingcenter.com

Our workshops vary between one-day intensives to multi-week programs based on instructor availability and course goals.

All workshops are instructed by industry professionals working in fields including: casting directors, talent agents, working actors and voiceover talent, artistic directors of theatres, acting coaches, etc. Our workshops are purely educational & are in no way a guarantee of employment.

Most workshops require students to prepare material prior to the start of class. Materials are distributed by the ATC office a few days in advance of class or the submission deadline, simulating the timeline given to working actors receiving materials for an audition. It is integral to come as prepared as possible to these workshops – as prepared as you would be for a real audition.

You are welcome to bring in a headshot/resume for a workshop, although there is no guarantee the instructor will collect them.

Visit the class page for the course you are interested in. Click “Add to Cart” for each course you would like to enroll in. Click “View Cart” and fill out the form with your information. Click “Get Started!” and a member of our team will be in touch with you a soon as possible.

All courses require a non-refundable deposit, equal to 30% of the tuition for classes, and 50% of the tuition for workshops to reserve your spot.

30% of the tuition rate for classes is considered a non-refundable deposit. If you cancel or drop out for any reason more than 2 weeks prior to the start date of classes, a refund of the tuition amount minus the non-refundable deposit can be credited to you.

Cancellations less than 2 weeks before the start date of classes are fully non-refundable.

Due to their specific nature, workshops are fully non-refundable.
