The crafting of a cabaret performance is a cornerstone of today’s musical theatre training. Students in this advanced, audition-only program learn to blend vocal technique with acting and personal story telling to create a completely unique and compelling mini cabaret act to be performed at the renowned listening room Hey Nonny in Arlington Heights. Each week students are joined by a live accompanist and ATC’s Christina Ramirez (whose cabaret credits span 54 Below, Birdland Jazz Club, The Duplex, and Hey Nonny) to craft their individual cabaret acts including but not limited to custom musical arrangements, parody and medley writing, and so much more. The final Cabarets will be recorded as well as live-streamed in addition to the in person performance. This is a truly unique program, not to be missed. To audition, please submit a self-tape of two contrasting musical theatre song cuts. Total video should not exceed 3 minutes in length. Audition Deadline: January 23rd
